  hello, i am new to this site, and i am dating a jw.

  however, my experience has been quite different from that of others doing the same thing.

  unlike other posts that i have read, her parents (we are both 18) are supportive of her relationship with me, she is quite open minded when it comes to social activities, she has both jw and non-jw friends, and is a totally "normal" 18 year old girl.

  Last time I checked this was a public forum. Fokes can say whatever thay want. Thay may look dumb doing it, you can make them look dumb for doing it, but thay/we/I can say whatever we want(for the most part). Say it with me people PUBLIC FORUM...

  I think sometimes peoples bigest problem is stoping to think before thay hit, Reply To Topic To be sure it's something that thay relly want to say to somebody else...

  Sudden Rash of JW Apologists

  am i the only one who sees it as a bit odd that a large number of jw apologists has suddenly come out of the woodwork on this board to defend the actions of the watchtower society toward bill bowen, barbara anderson and the pandelos?

  for the longest time, virtually the only ones on this board who advocated an essentially orthodox jw viewpoint were you know and nytelecom/mavman (though each of them could easily be classed with us "apostates" if the watchtower knew of their disagreements with the party line).. but suddenly, we have a bunch of totally loyal, utterly doctrinaire jw apologists posting almost exclusively on threads related to the pedophile issue.

  most of them are taking next to impossible positions from any reasonable standpoint.

  having been raised all my life in the "borg" i have known nothing else.

  when questions began forming years ago, it started me thinking.

  When I met people, and the subject cums up I tell them that I was rased in a cult, And that all of my famley is still in it. Thay alway ask how I got out?(read Rays book) So I tell people about the JWs, and how I got out...

  Telling a JW that you are anti-watchtower.

  the time has finally come.

  i am getting dangerously close to a situation where i will have to reveal to my gf's mother and siblings that not only do i not share their beliefs but the probility of them converting me to their religion is next to none.

  relaying this information could cause one hell of alot of problems with the situation as it satnds.. in my country which is mainly christian the the jws eventhough not accepted are permitted to continue with their faith.
